I really wasn't feeling it for my W8 D1 workout
this afternoon but dragged myself to the gym. After the warm up drills I
started the cardiovascular test - 50 kcal on the bike. Half way through my legs
were like lead and I felt them slowing. Just as I was about to stop I
heard 3003 voices in my head yelling at me "keep going - Peakers don't
quit!" I picked up the pace and even pulled out a sprint finish to beat
my W4 time by 7 seconds: improving from 4:58 minutes at Level 6 to 4:51 minutes on Level 7.
I then a second cardiovascular test: a 1km row. This time I took 6 seconds off
my personal best, from 4:59 minutes last time to 4:53 minutes this week.
Not the easiest workout I have ever done, but I felt so grateful for the Peakers and Coaches who were with me in spirit, encouraging me along the way.
