In my pre-MPC world, like most people I guess I ate quick a lot of carbs, with pasta rice and potatoes forming the backbone of most meals. I've heard a lot about spiralizers recently, so ordered a basic model which arrived this weekend so I thought I'd give it a go. For those not in the know, a spiralizer turns vegetables into pasta-like strings. So last night I had a meat-free and low-carb bolognaise - soy and mixed
bean chilli sauce, with courgette 'pasta'. The new spiralizer worked
like a dream, and the 'pasta' only needed a few minutes in boiling water
to cook (so I guess I'm saving energy too!). The only downside was
that there was an odd wedge-shaped piece of courgette left that I didn't
quite know what to do with!
